Case
BD Barcelona
E-commerce for the historic Barcelona furniture editor. A catalogue that is really an archive — designers, decades, price points — behind one storefront.

The brief
BD's catalogue is not a shop's catalogue; it's fifty years of design history. Designers from Gaudí and Dalí to contemporary studios, pieces from a €60 object to collector editions — and three very different audiences: buyers, architects specifying projects, and people reading the story.
The decision
Model the catalogue around its real relationships. Products belong to designers; designers appear in stories and projects; professionals get downloads and services; buyers get a direct cart. One structure serves every route through it.
The storefront stays editorial — the pieces carry the site, and commerce appears when you're ready for it.
The part nobody sees
The long tail. A catalogue this size lives or dies by the parts nobody looks at daily — consistent product data, working filters, prices and stock that stay true. Unglamorous, and the difference between an archive and a mess.
